UNIFORM ISSUE

Every regular member is issued a uniform comprised of the following articles:

Explorer Uniform Grey colored military-style shirt with appropriate identification (shoulder flashes, name tag, rank epaulettes)
Issued nylon tactical belt
Pair of black military-style pants with reflective stripping on the sides

Members shall sign an equipment-issue sheet with the sizes, and the date of issue.
Members shall deposit the amount of 25.00$ for the uniform.
Members shall return their uniform at the end of their service with the Hawkesbury Police Explorers and receive the 25.00$ if the uniform has been kept in good order from normal use.
Members are responsible for the proper and authorized use of their uniform and equipment.
Members are responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of issued equipment.
Members that wish to continue onto the E.S.U. may purchase their own uniform for an amount set out by the Director.
The E.S.U. uniform is the same as the regular uniform except that the shirt is white in color.
Members are required to buy their own footwear. Boots or shoes must be uniform black leather. These boots may be purchased from the Police Explorers.
Members shall not wear medals unless that they have been issued to them.

 

WEARING OF UNIFORM

Members shall wear their serviceable uniform at all Explorer activities unless given specific permission to do otherwise.

Members shall not wear their uniforms at any other time. Wearing the Explorer uniform for any other purpose than official Explorer duty shall be considered as ground for immediate dismissal.

Members shall keep their uniforms in accordance with the high standards of the Hawkesbury Police Explorers. An inspection may be conducted at the beginning of each session and duty by the platoon Corporal, platoon Sergeant, Staff-Sergeant, Deputy-Director or Director.

Members shall wear at all times, if provided, their headdress while outside or in public view. Members are permitted to take their headdress off while in the detachment, patrol vehicle, private residence or in class.

When in civilian attire, members are required to wear their issued identification card in the detachment and while participating in activities. Civilian dress shall be appropriate when dictated by the Program Director, Deputy-Director or Senior N.C.O.

 

SUMMER & WINTER ORDER OF DRESS


The Staff-Sergeant shall be responsible for ordering the change in dress
order.

Summer dress (number 1) shall be comprised of:
Short sleeved grey shirt with white or black t-shirt
Pants (worn garrison) (optional short pants)
Tactical belt
Boots or black shoes
Patrol Windbreaker/Raincoat
Headdress

 

Winter dress (number 2) shall be comprised of:
Long sleeved grey shirt and black tie
Pants (worn garrison)
Tactical belt
Yukon hat and winter gloves
Patrol windbreaker/raincoat
Winter jacket
Program approved sweater

Members may wear sunglasses that are of good taste.

RANK INSIGNA

All members of the rank of Corporal or above shall wear the appropriate epaulet insignia for their rank during all activities.

Staff-Sergeant Epaulet Staff-Sergeant -One white crown with three chevrons
Sergeants -Three chevrons
Corporals -Two chevrons
