"I have long been a student and great admirer of
the Impressionists and, at the risk of labeling myself, my work leans
in that direction. A great deal of my time is spent outdoors, observing
the effect that changing light has on the landscape. Most of my work is
in pastel or gouache, and I never seem to tire of experimenting with
both."
